• Brand New *Time* for September - School will start promptly at 7:50am.  Students will be given 5 minutes before the bell rings to begin the school day.  The bell will ring at 7:55AM; *students entering class after the 7:55AM bell will be considered *tardy to class and will need to obtain a late pass from the Main Office.  Announcements will begin promptly at 7:55AM.  This will allow us to maximize the start time of the school day.

 

• Capital Project - Our parking lot will be getting a face lift.  If you have not noticed, they have begun construction on our parking lot.  As discussed at the PTA meeting back in October, we are rerouting our bus drop off area to the back, where the Annex used to be prior to the flood.  Construction will be going on all summer.  We will have Summer Fun and Safety town here at MacArthur.

 

• SchoolCenter Picture Please continue to save your Boxtop$ over the summer for your child's class.  A new contest will begin in the fall. Click here for more information on Boxtop$.

 

  •SchoolCenter Picture    Visit Subway on Vestal Avenue and ask to purchase a *MacArthur* Subway Gift Card .  Great for teacher gifts, birthday gifts, etc.  These cards are only available at the Vestal Avenue Subway.  MacArthur's PTA will receive a percentage of the purchases made with these gift cards, that in turn will be used to help fund MacArthur student field trips. 

  

• *Attention Concerned MacArthur Parents* :  Pesticide Applications are planned for MacArthur Elementary School's field this spring within the fenced-in area behind the school.  Click here to be placed on a list to receive pesticide notification letters, from the Binghamton City School District, telling the dates these applications will be applied.  Let's all work together to safeguard our children.
